Statement of Significance

The Rocket Shed was erected in 1880 and served as storage accommodation for the Ports and Harbours Authority. It was used for the storage of rockets for rocket practice. With its matching materials and form, this simple bluestone structure with a gable roof is an essential component of the Public Buildings Reserve Precinct.
