The house at 1 Victoria Street, Stawell, has significance as an intact example of the interwar Bungalow style. These qualities include the gable roof form that traverses the site, together with the attic gable and the broken back/skillion verandah that project towards the street frontage. Other intact or appropriate qualities include the single storey height, face brick wall construction, tiled roof cladding, face brick chimney with a soldier course top, broad eaves with exposed timber rafters, long stuccoed verandah beam, stuccoed brick verandah piers with face brick soldier course bands, squat stuccoed verandah piers with concrete cappings supporting square columns in the middle bay, solid stuccoed verandah balustrade, verandah steps, boxed timber framed double hung windows, brick window brackets and the timber framed front doorway. Overall, the house at 1 Victoria Street is of LOCAL significance.
