Statement of Significance

Corio Quay North is significant as a component of the Geelong Harbour landscape. It is significant for its historical association with the timber, fertilizer, meat and car industries. Fords Wharf was associated with car manufacturing, one of the earliest mechanized industries in Geelong and the state. The Wharf is also significant due to its involvement in the production of supplies for WWII.
