The building at 91 Main Street, Stawell, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. Although the 19th century shopfront has been greatly altered, the gable roof form and parapeted and rendered gable end having flanking flat parapets are those particular elements that contribute to the historical and architectural amenity of the area. This building was Charles Akins' fruit, stationery and book shop from 1874 until the late 19th century.
