The house and shop at 35-39 Main Street, Stawell, has significance as a predominantly intact example of a mid 20th century style. It appears to have been built after World War II to showcase the patterned bricks of Taylor brickmakers, the house is reflective of some of the residential developments in Stawell at that time.
