The house at 6 Luke Street, Stawell, has significance as a reasonably intact example of the Edwardian style. Other intact or appropriate qualities include the asymmetrical composition, single storey height, horizontal timber weatherboard wall cladding, lapped galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding painted deep red, two unpainted brick chimneys with rendered bands and dentillated courses, modest eaves, timber framed double hung windows (including the tripartite windows under the verandah and front gable), and the timber framed doorway with sidelight and highlight. The house at 6 Luke Street is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with residential developments in Stawell in the late 19th or early 20th century. Overall, the house at 6 Luke Street is of LOCAL significance.
