The former Suggetts drapery, 63 Napier Street, St. Arnaud, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with the commercial developments in St. Arnaud in the early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include the basic form and proportions of the facade, the rendered parapet with pillars supported ion stylised brackets and central ribs and a moulded capping. The parapet is capped by a moulded cornice supported on narrow brackets which rest on as string course. The base of the parapet is also marked by a moulded string course.
