The former garage, 26-30 Alma Street, St Arnaud, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with commercial developments in St Arnaud in the early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include commercial scale of the building, the rendered parapet with articulated piers and the angled shopfronts with recessed doorways.
