The Paradise State School, 238 Raeburns Road, Paradise has significance has an educational centre in the local community, and as an example of a Victorian Board Education School style. Established in 1892, the building appears to be in fair-good condition when viewed from a distance.

The Paradise State School is architecturally significant at a LOCAL level. Although the building has experienced some changes, it still demonstrates original design qualities of a Victorian Board of Education style. These qualities include the plan dimensions, and the gable and skillion roof forms. Other intact or appropriate qualities include square edged weatherboard wall construction, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding with conical roof vents and timber framed windows.
