Statement of Significance

The house in Newall Street, Marnoo, is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. The gabled roof forms, projecting gable, asymmetrical composition, single storey height, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, horizontal timber weatherboard wall cladding, red brick chimney with a multi-corbelled top, timber framed doorway with highlight, and the timber framed double hung windows (including the tripartite window on the projecting gable), are those elements that contribute to the historical and architectural amenity of the area.
