Statement of Significance
Statement of Significance
This railway station is a significant local landmark, at an important road and rail junction, formerly known as 'Keilor Road' and serving a railway line of great historical importance as the first Government-built railway line in Victoria. The present station played a major role in the life of the Closer Settlement farming families in the early years of this century and in the local economy. It is the oldest surviving railway station building in the City of Brimbank.
