Statement of Significance

Harriet Holmes' Grave, rear of 1566 Blangum Inn Road, Kanya, has significance as a memorial to the memory of Harriet Holmes, wife of Robert Holmes, early land selector and builder of the original Bolangum Inn in c.1865. This Inn was the long-serving hotel on the route between the townships of Navarre and Marnoo and was demolished in c.1990.

It is associated with and commemorates the life of Harriet Holmes, wife of Robert Holmes, early land selector and builder of the Bolangum Inn in c.1865.
