Statement of Significance
The Glenorchy Water Tower, Glenorchy is a round, concrete tower erected in 1956 which contains a pumping stations and header tank and supplied water to the Glenorchy Stations and to the town. The Glenorchy Water Tower, Glenorchy is historically and scientifically significant at a LOCAL level. The site is associated with the provision of water to the Glenorchy station and to the township in the years after 1881. Overall, the Glenorchy Water Tower is of LOCAL significance.
