The Band of Hope Mine area consists of the filled shaft of the Band of Hope Mine and a large intact mullock heap with sixteen dumping lines. The area has partly revegetated. The Band of Hope Mine is historically and scientifically important at a LOCAL level as a characteristic example of an important gold mining technique.
